The short version
We review your reports from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion, identify items that are inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unverifiable, and dispute them using your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). While disputes are in progress, your automated plan shows you the habits that move your score, such as utilization and on-time payments, so your gains last.
Step by step
1. Start free online
Sign up in about a minute and tell us your goals: buying a home, financing a car, renting, or lowering your rates. You'll confirm we can serve clients in your state. There are no calls or appointments.
2. Pull your three-bureau report
You enroll in CreditHero Score to pull your own reports and scores from all three bureaus. Checking your own credit is never a hard inquiry, so it doesn't affect your score.
3. Written plan and agreement
Our system flags items that may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable, and you review each one. Before any work begins, you receive the written "Consumer Credit File Rights Under State and Federal Law" disclosure required by federal law, then review and e-sign a client agreement in your Secure Client Access portal that lists the services, total cost, and estimated timeline, with a Notice of Cancellation form. You have at least 3 business days to cancel without charge, or longer where your state's law provides.
4. Disputes and verification requests
For the items you approve, we prepare documented disputes to the bureaus. Where it helps, we also help you prepare your own direct disputes and debt validation requests to the companies reporting the information (furnishers) and to debt collectors. We never dispute information you know to be accurate. Under the FCRA, bureaus generally must investigate within 30 days, and up to 45 days in some cases.
5. Results and next rounds
When results come back, items that can't be verified must be corrected or deleted. We review the updated reports, plan the next round where needed, and track every change in your portal.
6. Rebuild and grow
A monthly plan for utilization, payment history, credit mix, and new credit. Our score impact calculator shows how these factors interact.

What we can and can't do
- We can challenge errors, outdated items, duplicate accounts, mixed files, identity theft accounts, and information a furnisher can't verify.
- We can help you prepare goodwill adjustment requests and understand your options for accurate debts.
- We can't remove accurate, timely, verifiable information, create a "new" credit identity, or guarantee a specific score.
How we're paid
Under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA) and state law, we can't charge you for any service until it has been fully performed. Your CreditHero Score membership is a separate service billed directly by CreditHero Score.
Frequently asked questions
Is this legal?
Yes. The FCRA gives every consumer the right to dispute inaccurate or unverifiable information, and companies that help consumers do so are regulated under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA) and state laws.
How long does the process take?
Bureaus generally respond within about 30 days per dispute round. How long it takes, and whether any items change, depends on what's on your report and how bureaus and furnishers respond. Many plans run several months.
Will this hurt my credit score?
No. Pulling your own reports is a soft inquiry, and disputing information doesn't lower your score.
